via email to meet here at a specified date and time and you can send and receive
instant messages.

Remember...........this chat room is not private
others may monitor your conversation and/or join in!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST TIME USERS:
It takes a while for this chat room to "load" onto your computer and then connect to the server.  When it is loading, there will be a message on the screen advising you of this and you will see a message when the connection is complete.

A message on the screen will say "anonymous 809 (or some other number) is in the chat room.  When that message appears, if that is the name that appears in the "name"  box above, that is you.

You can put your cursor on the '"a'" in anonymous" and delete it by using the "delete" key on your keyboard.
You can then type in your own name and click on "change".  A message will appear on the screen that you have changed your name and that new name will be used to preface each message you post in the chat room.

To "chat", just type a message in the "message" box and then click on "submit."  Your message will appear on the screen and anyone who is in the chat will also see it on their computer monitor and can respond to it.
There name and response will follow your message on the screen.
